Spring happy mail PDFs + lil update

I like to share these files in case you want the digital versions. Last year I did 'em all in one go, but this time I'm trying out a seasonal approach. Fair warning, some of these files are pretty large.

Not sure why I missed February, but clearly I did... Two-and-a-half years into this print subscription project, I've realized that 10 issues per year is more realistic + sustainable than the full 12. For example, in 2020 I only hit my goal of 12 zines because one month I did a zine trio, which inadvertently made up for the month that I missed. And then in 2021 I sent 10 editions of happy mail and made up the two I missed by issuing "store credit" / not charging for January and February.

However, I genuinely want to do every month. I'll keep trying for that, and if I fall short, well, I appreciate your patience and flexibility. If I fall really short I'll make it up with "store credit" like I did at the beginning of the year. Fortunately I have received literally zero complaints about the happy mail schedule, so I suppose y'all must be happy with how I handle things.

On the docket

As I mentioned in the recent Ideograph:

I'm working on articulating my relationship with God (a tall order!) and wrapping up a narrative node in Wanderverse, my copyleft fairytale project. There is quite a bit to do for The Album, an exhilarating first-time challenge for me. Lex and I hope to release it in late summer or early fall.

Other things:

  • June happy mail is coming up, of course!
  • I want to sell more of my zine backstock, mainly because it takes up way too much space.
  • Most excitingly, I proposed a $500 Wanderverse grant to Okro, an illustrator whose psychedelic cottagecore style is a great fit for the project. We're still negotiating, so the arrangement might fall through, in which case I'll find someone else. But I'm feeling good about this prospect!

You might wonder how the Sonya Supposedly venture is doing financially. The short answer is that I spend all the revenue — on supplies and occasional commissions (like when @suchaone designed Wanderverse stickers). I've got $1,167.45 in the bank right now. $500 is earmarked for the aforementioned grant. About $115 will go to printing up June happy mail (that's how much it cost last month), and the remaining ~$550 will hang around to pay for recurring expenses like Ghost hosting, Fathom Analytics, and the next order of stamps and envelopes (I have enough on hand for June).

As always, thank you so much for your support! It means the world to me. If there's anything you wanna talk about, feel free to hit reply.
